Red mages follow the discipline built upon the principles of White and Black magic. While practitioners of white and black draw upon ambient aether, Red mages restrict themselves to weave spells using their own reserve of mana. For most people, that could be a swift end to one’s life, but mages of Red get around that by being efficient with their aether usage.
To overcome the restrictions of not using external aether, Red mages use every single drop of aether they have and turn it into power. This is reflected in their movements and blade work. They don’t just channel aether into their weapon or focus of choice to cast spells, their entire body is the focus. Every movement of their hands, feet, and even the momentum of their physical body is used to cast and write spells in the air. This is why Red Mages are so acrobatic in combat and often referred to as dancing around the battlefield. Every movement is used to draw signs and provide the somatic components of each spell. This style of aether-efficient magic allows these mages to withstand long bouts of combat. Those that seek to get the most out of Red magic need to be swift on their feet, dexterous, and have a healthy personal pool of aether. Most people will either choose to focus on either physical strength or spellcasting, thus losing interest in the other. While Red mages do not belong to an organization, they tend to wear distinctive garb to recognize each other and show off their journey into the vermillion arts with pride.Your power is your own. You are a blade so swift and sharp that your movements will cut down anything in your way.

Second-in-command (Active 4+ years)

Raven Heart is a mercenary company with its headquarters in the Mist that also serves as a tavern. In full force, the company provides security contracts to clients and military groups needing a sizeable combat-capable unit that is ready to be deployed away from home. Short-term contracts such as escorting cargo or VIPs, monster hunting, and intel gathering are usually taken on by smaller teams.

The Farstriders

Former mercenary (1 Year)

They were a group of mercenaries that operated out of a tavern owned by a few of its members. Eva worked with a small team, allowing them to travel on short notice and take on contracts in distant places.

The Silverlight Order

Voidhunter (5 Years)

A specialised branch of those who have completed their core training within the Academy. Those who join are fighters and scholars seeking a new challenge to understand and combat the less-understood and even taboo magics.
"Light and Dark are tools like all other types of Aether. The men and women who use them decide their morality."

Starblade Academy

Former student (8 Years)

The Starblade Academy is primarily dedicated to teaching young aspiring mages the art of Conjury and Thaumaturgy. Stationed in Ul’dah and the neighbouring territories, the guild works with the local Thaumaturge guild in a practical relationship to further the spellcraft they share in tandem with general education. Teachers of Conjuration are taken in and housed by the Academy to avoid having students needing to travel to Gridania, where locals may be reluctant to teach such magic to those not worshipping the Elementals. They offer continued training for those who have graduated successfully and allow their members to work as Adventurers/Mercenaries to bring in resources for the guild. Specialized training such as occult studies are open to provide more opportunities for the ever-curious mages.

Hooks!

Quatermastery

Part of Eva's role is managing logistics and equipment for those under her command. If you sell items that fighters would use in the field - such as potions, armour maintenance supplies, and camping gear - Eva will happily visit your store.

Mercenaries get hurt

Are you a healer? A fighter can never have enough healers to contact and know around the lands.
Eva is also looking to improve her ability to heal and treat wounds in the field. If you're up for teaching then she'll love to learn.

Void Hunter

Eva spent most of her young adult education learning to fight and hunt down those working with or using Void magic. Are you a like-minded individual? Do you have your own methods of fighting that you'd like to share? Just want to have a drink with them?

Are you an occult researcher or vendor?

As anti-void as Eva may be, she will bite her tongue to visit stores or people claiming to sell objects that fall under the occult theme. It's a good way for her to learn about new information on what sort of forbidden objects are now making an appearance.
